Freudenberg (Vileda) as a real example of end-to-end orchestration
For Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions HOPI is building a new logistics hub in Chomutov for the Vileda. brand. The project shows how warehousing, VAS, fulfilment, transport and global flows can be connected within one solution.
- June 2024: cooperation established with Freudenberg Group for the Vileda brand.
- September 2024: preparation started, including master data harmonization and SAP setup.
- Q4 2024-Q4 2025: building construction, team ramp-up, warehouse layout, equipment and processes.
- January 1, 2026: go-live after an approximately six-month ramp-up phase.
- Warehousing: a central European hub with nearly 45,000 pallet positions.
- VAS: assembly of 93 products and capacity of up to 60,000 POS displays annually.
- Fulfilment: performance management during strong seasonality and peaks of up to +80%.
- Transport: contractual SLA to load or unload vehicles within two hours.
- Global: around 10% of flows are shipped in containers to other parts of the world.
What this reference proves
- Greenfield project: from a new building and SAP setup to recruitment and operational ramp-up.
- Scalability: during the biggest peak so far, 360 trucks and around 12,500 pallets were dispatched in two weeks.
- Automation: FANUC cobot, ESONIC Motion line, Comarme case erector and partially automated Tetronic truck check-in.
- Accuracy: continuous inventory, repeated location recounts and high stock control.
- People: the team was also built on co-workers from the Philippines, with very low fluctuation and stable performance.
